The Alliance Fund
The Alliance Fund was a project that aimed to bring collective investment to cryptocurrency. There were two types of users: traders and investors.
Traders had a portfolio that investors could track, and based on their performance could be voted onto the Alliance Council. From there, the Council would use the collective Alliance fund to make investment decisions.
Investors would track and vote for traders to join the Council based on their own diversification and performance standards. They also voted on rules pertaining to the council, such as minimum membership, minimum majority votes, and participation limits. Investors would receive dividend payouts based on their investment into the Alliance fund.
I did illustrations and logo design for their whitepaper website where they gauged public interest in the project.
Logo Design
I was given a lot of freedom with the logo and general branding of The Alliance Fund. During our first discussion about the logo, the words that came up over and over again were safety, security, growth, and voting. These core concepts were repeated many times over in their whitepaper and preliminary copy for their website.
Logos of preexisting cryptofunds and cryptocurrencies were either very literal, often depicting a literal coin, or very conceptual, circles with lines connecting them. I wanted to create a logo somewhere in between these two ideas, and eventually decided to ground the logo to the shape of the A for Alliance. This lent itself to triangular shapes, and eventually arrows, to represent growth.
